Together with my archiBUNT friend Remigiusz Jurek, we had the opportunity to paint a linear portrait of Moritz Landé. The mural was created as part of the 10th anniversary celebrations. anniversary of the establishment of the Center for Research on the History and Culture of Jews from Southern Greater Poland at the University of Wrocław, which is based in the Ostrów synagogue. We would like to thank the Ostrów Cultural Center
for entrusting the task.

MORITZ LANDÉ (1829-1888)
Born in Ostrów into a local Jewish family. A descendant of the first rabbi of Ostrów, Jakob Landé (d.1787). Builder of the Ostrów synagogue (1857-1860). He died in Berlin and was buried at the Weißensee cemetery.
