Food Not Bombs is a loose-knit group of independent collectives, serving free vegan and vegetarian food to others. The first action was organized in 1980 by American activists protesting against nuclear weapons. Apart from the practical dimension of helping, the action has a symbolic dimension. We pay attention to the problem of hunger and malnutrition that occurs in every corner of the world, even in the richest countries.
